Every new patient visit at Newport Beach Dental Center is thorough by design. On your first appointment, you will receive a 3D scan, an intraoral scan, and a series of x-rays so we have a complete and accurate picture of your oral health from the start. We use a digital scanner in place of traditional impression material, which means no goopy trays, just a faster, more comfortable experience. This level of detail up front allows us to make well-informed recommendations and build a care plan that is right for you.
Dr. Sharbash holds credentials that place her among a very select group of general dentists in the country. Her FAGD designation, Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, is earned by fewer than 6 percent of general dentists in the United States. To earn a Fellowship award, a dentist must complete at least 500 continuing dental education hours, pass a rigorous and comprehensive exam, and maintain AGD membership for three continuous years Academy of General Dentistry, according to the Academy of General Dentistry. It is one of the most demanding achievement-based distinctions available to a general dentist.
In addition to her FAGD, Dr. Sharbash holds the D.ABDSM credential, Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, making her one of a small number of dentists trained to diagnose and treat Obstructive Sleep Apnea/OSA through oral appliance therapy. She is also Facial Injectables Certified, offering Botox and dermal filler services for patients who want to address cosmetic concerns in a single, trusted environment. Across all of these areas, her approach remains the same: listen first, educate thoroughly, and recommend only what genuinely serves the patient’s long-term health.
Beyond credentials, Dr. Sharbash has been recognized as one of the “10 Dentists to Watch” by AGD Impact magazine and has served as an official spokesperson for the Academy of General Dentistry. She is a board member of both the Southern California AGD and the California AGD, and she serves on the Dental Practice Council of the AGD. These roles keep her deeply connected to emerging standards in general dentistry and allow her to bring that knowledge directly into patient care.
